ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Phil Philcox is a retired Air Force Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD - bomb disposal) Technician. During his 20+ years in the Air Force, he served in the U.S., Japan, Korea and France. He spent four years at the Explosive Ordnance Disposal School in Indian Head, Maryland as an instructor in Dropped Munitions and Explosives and is a member of the Federation of American Scientists. He has written 49 non-fiction books on various non-military subjects (many listed on amazon.com under his name). Phil has been a qualified PADI scuba diver since 1977. He has recovered and disposed of unexploded ordnance all over the U.S., Far East, and Europe during tours with various EOD units, including a 3 year tour with the 7410th EOD Squardron in Nancy, France, uncovering and disposing of explosive weapons dating back to the Franco-Prussian War, WWI and WW2. . He's also the author of EOD Antics, two books of EOD-related cartoons, published in the 1960s by the Department of the Navy. .
